Acupuncture is a component of traditional East Asian medicine that originated in China over 5,000 years ago. It is based on the theory of two complementary forces, Yin & Yang. These forces are interdependent and interconnected. We use thin, one time use, sterilized needles.

Living beings have a vital energy which circulates via pathways throughout the body. An imbalance or blockage can indicate disease while a complete blockage may cause pain. The body is designed to heal itself. Acupuncture helps supports that process safely, effectively and naturally.

Acupuncture helps unblock any impeded pathways, which increases circulation, decreases inflammation, boosts the immune system, and encourages the body's natural healing process.  Insertion into specific areas help relieve pain by releasing endorphins, the body's natural pain-killing chemicals, and by affecting the part of the brain that governs serotonin, a brain chemical involved with mood.

Elemental Acupuncture   offers several different types of acupuncture including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Tan, Tung, motor point, dry needling, local, and distal. The conditions receiving treatment and patient preference are considered when selecting the appropriate style for each client.
